Marcin Plisiecki My Way now in Łódź!

The wilderness as a symbol of trip in Martin Plisiecki’s photographs means the space of great challenges. The choice of India as a destination of his journey is not accidental. In such a place we have to face life and death. India is a symbolic desert, a place far from civilization, wild and unpredictable. In those conditions one can only live a life of a nomad who must cope with new existential situations. India is also a place of relentless confrontation of man with his own self. The space which may reveal the emptiness and futility of the life so far. Here there is no possibility of diverting attention by directing it to external things. Anything superfluous does not matter Life is reduced to the essentials. Influenced by the simplicity of such life one can learn how beautiful the process of passing is.
